Breadboard transistor heat sink

Home - Techniek - Electronica - Radiotechniek - Radio amateur bladen - QST - Breadboard transistor heat sink

Simple and safe method for experimenting with stud mounted transistors without actually mounting them is to place thin flat washers of two different diameters on the mounting stud. Alternate the two sizes of washers as you place them on the stud. A nut of the proper size and thread will secure the washer stack, resulting in a heat sink that will increase the heat dissipation of the transistors during breadboard design.
